On April 27th, SEBAC's 2022 Organizing and Racial Justice Committees co-hosted a membership leader event to prepare for the end of the Legislative Session. The Faces Behind State Service

On March 15th SEBAC released a report authored by In The Public Interest's Shahrzad Habibi, Research and Policy Director and Yale University's Jennifer Klien, Professor of History, titled, "Austerity Versus Reinvestment". This bombshell report outlines the need for strong investment into our public services and examines the economic and historical data that point a way out of the devastating effects of COVID-19 and the concurrent economic downturn towards a better Connecticut for everyone.

Don't Be Fooled By Vaccine Scams

In the past CSEA has warned Council 400 about Social Security and stimulus check scams, but now we regret to have to warn you about COVID-19 vaccine scams.

There are only a limited number of federally approved vaccines and treatments. As of 1/16/21 there are only two available and approved by the US FDA – Pfizer-BioNTech’s  and Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine. Do not fall for any scammers offering “miracle cure” treatments or medication to prevent or cure the virus.
